John Lokwawi

Assistant Data Commissioner, Registration

John Lokwawi is an Information Security professional with over 15 years of experience spanning both the public and private sectors. He currently heads the Registration Division, where he oversees the registration of data controllers and data processors in compliance with the Data Protection Act.

Throughout his career, John has gained extensive expertise in systems examinations, risk assessments, advisory services, and digital forensics, among other areas.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications and Information Technology from Kenyatta University and a Master of Science degree in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London. In addition, he has undertaken several professional trainings in cybersecurity, monitoring and evaluation, data protection, senior management, data analytics, and systems audit.
