Kowuor is an accomplished real estate professional with over two decades experience in valuation, property management, estate agency, project management and land & property consultancy.
He is a Registered and Practicing Valuer and a Registered and Practicing Estate Agent
Kowuor is a Land Economist with Master of Arts in Valuation and Property Management from University of Nairobi, Diploma in Urban Land Management from Lantmateriet, Sweden and Diploma in Project Management from Strathmore University
Kowuor is a Fellow of Institution of Surveyors of Kenya, Chairman Emeritus of Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK) and former Convenor of Public Affairs Committee of Association of Professional Societies of East Africa (APSEA)
He was instrumental in formulation of Sessional Paper No.3 of 2009 National Land Policy.
He was involved in formulation of Chapter Five (Land and Environment) of Constitution of Kenya 2010, Land Act 2012, Land Registration Act 2012, National Land Commission 2012 and Urban Areas & Cities Act 2012.
Kowuor led ISK Property Management Standards Taskforce that formulated the inaugural Property Management Standards of Kenya. He participated in formulation of Land Administration Guidelines for Africa and Property Guidelines under International Federation of Surveyors (FIG)
He was a columnist with The Saturday Standard on land and property issues and has authored several articles in national and international conferences, magazines and print media.
He is a former member Nairobi City County Developments Approval Committee
Kowuor has a vast experience in land and property issues in the country and has Head of State Commendation (Civilian Division) HSC Award for his outstanding contributions to land and property issues in Kenya.
